This leads me to think that maybe I should be working in the Finder, and then when I’m done with a project, index the folder to that project in Devonthink.

I keep all my working documents, for current projects and completed projects, in DevonThink. After years as an Evernote guy, I’ve essentially given Evernote up in favor of DevonThink. I’ve been using DevonThink since April and liking it. Do you work in DevonThink, or do you use the Finder and other apps to store your working documents, and then index to DevonThink?
